Tucked away in the heart of Lockhart, Texas, Nightshade Gallery is a curated space for art, music, and community. Step inside and you’ll find a room that feels equal parts gallery, PIANO LOUNGE, and speakeasy, glowing softly under a red neon light. You won’t stumble in by accident - you have to know where to look.
Founded by Jessica Pyrdsa, Nightshade began as a pop-up gallery in Philadelphia, born out of a desire to share her father Michael Pyrdsa’s striking realist paintings with more people. What started as a temporary experiment quickly grew into a living, breathing creative hub. Now rooted in Lockhart, Nightshade carries that same spirit of intimacy and impermanence - affectionately known to be “open sometimes.”
More than just a gallery, Nightshade is an evolving gathering place. We showcase a mix of established and emerging artists, with a special focus on Michael Pyrdsa’s pieces, alongside rotating exhibitions, artist collaborations, and monthly Piano Lounge nights. At its heart, Nightshade was created to share art - and everything that comes with it.
